Power Inventory

Displays list of power profiles available.

System Idle Power Displays the System Idle Power in watt and BTU/hr. This is the minimum power the system can consume based on the current hardware configuration.
System Maximum Potential Power Displays the System Potential Power in watt and BTU/hr. This is the maximum power the system can consume based on the current hardware configuration.

Power budget

The power budget feature allows you to set a cap on power budget by setting a threshold on system level power consumption. System performance will be dynamically adjusted to maintain power consumption near the specified threshold. Actual power consumption may momentarily exceed the threshold until performance adjustments have completed.
Enable Power Cap Allows you to enable or disable power capping.
Power Cap Displays the cap value currently set in watt, BTU/hr and percentage. If you enter a value in any one of the edit boxes, the values in the other two boxes will be subsequently modified.
  • If the minimum power goes above the cap that you have set, then the firmware will re-adjust the cap to the minimum value.
  • If the maximum power goes below the cap that you have set, then the firmware will not re-adjust the cap to the maximum value. You will need to re-configure the cap value.

Applicable systems - All PMBus capable systems, starting xx1x systems.
