Serial Over LAN Configuration
Character Accumulate Interval | This parameter specifies the character accumulate interval in
5 millisecond (ms) increments. The interval sets the typical amount
of time that the Baseboard Management Controller (BMC)/iDRAC waits
before sending a partial serial over LAN (SOL) data packet. A partial
data packet is a packet that has fewer characters to send than the
number of characters specified by the Character Send Threshold . NOTE: The value
of the Character Accumulate Interval must be
in the range of 1 to 255. If you enter a value outside this range,an
error message is displayed. |

Character Send Threshold | BMC/iDRAC automatically sends an SOL data packet that contains
this number of characters as soon as this number of characters (or
greater) has been accepted from the baseboard serial controller into
the BMC. NOTE: The value
of the Character Send Threshold must be in
the range of 1 to 255. If you enter a value outside this range, an
error message is displayed. |
