Shutdown the System
To shut your system down:
Shutdown OS First | Close the file system and exit the operating system before shutting down the system. |
---|
- If you want to shut your operating system down before taking
other shutdown actions, click Shutdown OS First in the OS Shutdown menu. NOTE: This option is not available on Dell’s 13th generation PowerEdge servers and later systems. By default, on Dell’s 13th generation PowerEdge servers and later systems, the operating system shuts down before turning off the server during a remote shutdown.
- Select one of the following options from the Remote
Shutdown Action menu:
Reboot System Restarts the system without turning the power off. A full reboot performs BIOS checks and reloads the operating system. Power Off System Turns off the electrical power to the system. Power Cycle System Turns off the electrical power, pauses a few seconds, and turns on the electrical power. NOTE: Power cycle feature is not available on ESX 4.1 Classic, ESXi 5.x and ESXi 6.0. - Click Shutdown to complete the shutdown you have configured.
